Hi everyone,
I can't believe February break is already over! We have a fun week planned. Here's what you can look forward to:
Tuesday: -strings practice
-1 o'clock release
Thursday: -visit from Rev. Paul Smith
Friday: -homework due!
Upcoming: -Nonfiction Writer's Celebration-- Friday, March 6th AM!
Homework:
Math: Students will work on a double-sided practice page reviewing skip counting and subtraction. Keep practicing multiplication facts at home! By the end of this unit, students are expected to know all multiplication facts in the 1-10 fact families.
Word Study: Students will review 10 trick words this week, and can practice at home by choosing 3 activities on their "Spelling Tic-Tac-Toe" chart to complete.
Reading: Keep reading for 30 mins per night and recording on reading logs! We are still going strong with Book Clubs, so students may be completing their book club assignments at home.
Rev. Paul Smith Visit: On Thursday, all 3rd-5th graders will attend a presentation from Rev. Paul Smith. Please visit his website if you're interested in learning more about him: http://www.revdrpaulsmith.org/biography/.
That's all for now! Have a wonderful night!
Ms. McLellan
