Hi everyone,
Happy Sunday! Here's what you can look forward to during this last week before February break:
Tuesday: -strings practice
-1 o'clock release
Friday: -Valentine's Day-- bring valentines to school to exchange!
-School-wide "Dress in pink/red day"!
-Homework due
Next week: -No School-- February Break!
Homework:
Math: Students will work on a double-sided page in which they will review solving subtraction story problems and practice finding objects around the house that classify as various shapes.
Word Study: Students will complete a sort that reviews the spelling of long a sounds in words. Slay, weigh, and sprain are all words with the long a sound but represent it with different letters!

Along with their book club reading, students are expected to "stop and jot" at least twice per assignment. Visit the "Extra Practice" page to check out what students can be jotting on the "Stop and Jot Menu".
Valentine's Day: This Friday, 2/14, is Valentine's Day! Here are some reminders to help make this day fun for all:
That's all for now, have a wonderful night!

Valentine's Day: This Friday, 2/14, is Valentine's Day! Here are some reminders to help make this day fun for all:
- We will designate time on Friday, 2/14 to exchange valentines. If your child plans to give their classmates valentines, please be sure that they have one for all students in our class.
- We have 22 students in our class. A list of names was sent in an email last week and home with your child on Friday.
- If your child also plans to give small toys/items along with their valentines, please be sure that each student gets similar items to avoid hurt/jealous feelings.
- All valentines should be in school by Friday, 2/14 so everyone can participate in the exchange!
That's all for now, have a wonderful night!
