Hi everyone,
I hope you enjoyed this long weekend! Here's what you can look forward to this week:
Tuesday: -strings
Wednesday: -Science Expo project forms due (find forms here)
Friday: -Homework due
Homework:
Math: Students will work on a double-sided practice page reviewing finding the area and perimeter of rectangles. Check out the "Important Information and Extra Practice" page for some videos explaining the work we're doing with this in class.
Word Study: Students will review the sounds of /er/ this week by writing sentences with given spelling words. There are also 3 trick words printed on their word study homework that they can practice spelling throughout the week.
Reading: Students should be reading their own independent books for at least 30 mins per night. Our main focus in this unit is on fiction, and starting later this week, students will be selecting books to read in book clubs! Your child will be responsible for reading an assigned number of pages each night that their group agrees upon. I will share more info after we launch these clubs!
Tune in next week for a look into what we're doing in class!
Best,
Ms. McLellan
